Dodge Stratus Mileage too much?

There is a 2002 Dodge Stratus RT - Red for sale in my neighborhood. The dealership is selling it for $5,000. There is 140,000 Miles on it, but it looks pretty flawless. There is no rust (my favorite part), the color is not faded (yet another great aspect). This is the description:

2.7 liter, 6 cylinder, FWD that averages 23-28 MPG's, auto with auto-stick, power windows, locks, mirrors, cruise control, tilt wheel. AM/FM/ CD player, fog lamps, factory key-less entry, alloy wheels. Gorgeous inside and out!!!

Is $5,000 too much for this vehicle?
How much longer do /you think/ the car will last?
I am hoping to purchase my first car, so someone please help!
 
That's a lot of miles, ask the dealer if you can have your mechanic look at it, also do your research, google and ebay, search type in make and model, Consumer Reports says the best used cars are Honda Civic and Accord in that order.
