Dodge Steering Help Please?

I have a 1988 Dodge RamCharger and it has alot of slack and play in the stearing and when I turn left it clangs it is NOT a four wheel drive it dosent have CV joints and the drivers side tire sounds like its locking up I have already checked the tie rod ends and they are ok so whats next help please
