Dodge Ram Van 2500 Won't Start after new fuel pump...I need help!?

I had a new fuel pump put on my 1996 Ram Van because it acted like it was running out of gas at 1/2 full, and I was getting ready for a trip to Colorado. It ran great from Kansas to Colorado. We drove it in the mountains for 4 days and then it just left us sitting. Had the van towed to where we were staying, and when taken off of the tow truck, it started!

Tried to drive the next day and the van started, but left me sitting when I turned it off. Had it towed into a Dodge dealership in Denver and they said I needed a new fuel pump as the new one I had just installed in Kansas was bad. That cost me $1,040 for yet another fuel pump. I drove the van back to where I was staying in the mountains, hoping it was fixed. Started my trip for Kansas the next morning and the van started. Stopped briefly for food, turned off ignition, and it started rather hard. I was afraid to turn it off the rest of the trip to Kansas, so I just kept it running while I filled up with gas, etc. When I got home to Kansas, I turned off the Van, and it hasn't started since. I got home yesterday evening and it wouldn't start. This morning it won't start! I have been swindled by the Dodge dealer, I think, and I am not a rich person, AND I still can't drive my Van.

Any ideas would be extremely helpful at this point. Strangely, the van ran better with the original fuel pump that had issues, but not with the 2 new ones it has had. I am frustrated and looking for answers before I take it to someone else....I am not a mechanic.

Thanks for your help in advance.
