dodge ram vacuum leak?

i have a dodge ram and the ac goes to defrost when i push the gas and also my 4x4 is not working. does anyone know where this might be or is this a common problem? i just bought the truck and i have always had sports cars so im baffled


please help
 
You already figured it out. It's a vacuum leak. The vacuum goes down when you hit the accelerator, so there's not enough left to work the vent controls. They always default to defrost when they quit because that's the one thing you can't live without some days. It's a very common problem. If you can't find any obvious leaks you can start pulling vacuum lines to various thing and putting a vacuum on them with a cheap pump to see if they hold it.
