Dodge Ram Rear Axle/Differential questions?

I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 and was wondering how i know what kind of rear end i have. There is one metal tag on one of the bolts on the differential housing which is 2767. I am trying to determine what kind of differential it is so that i can figure out what kind of lubricant to use. Every Dodge dealership i ask gives me conflicting answers to what viscosity of oil to use and the amount of limited slip additive, if it is even required.

If you have any answers to what kind of axle/ differential i have in my truck or how to find out what what kind, be greatly appreciated or if you know what lubricant to use. thanks

You no doubt have a 9.25 Chrysler differential. Any good parts man can take the 2767 and tell you the ratio and if it has limited slip. On my '97 there is an underhood data decal with the all that good info.
Lacking any positive input from the dealer, I would use EP75-90 gear oil and put the 4 ounces of friction modifier in just to be safe.
