ok i have had some good responses with tis question and would like to get a follow -up. I have heard that using 50/20 antifreezeand water along with red line water wetter will really help keep my truck running cooler during hard towing. Is it true that water will move heat much better than antifreeze ??
Another thing i really hope someone can help me with is why is it that i have a 195 T stat installed but when my truck first warms up it climbs to around 210-220 than in about three minutes it drops to 210 ? It mostly stays at 210 unless hot day pulling hard. Why is it not reading 195 at open nd than climb to 210 ?? and if it is a 195 stat, why is it running at 210.?? I am going to install a 180 stat and see if it climbs to 195 and stays there during normal driving .
Any ideas ?????????????????
