So, I'm almost 16 years old here in Maryland, and I am going to be buying my first car soon. I'm set on what I really want, but people don't always get what they want now do they? Anyway, I have been looking for a 1996-2000 Dodge Ram 2500 with the Cummins Turbo Diesel engine. I had a few questions. Does anyone know how many MPG I will get out of a STOCK 5.9L Cummins? Also, if I take care of it, how many miles can I get out of this truck? The reason I am going for a 1996 is because as many of you may know, trucks aren't cheap. Especially diesel trucks. I have about $7,000 to spend, and I hope I can find what I want! Thanks for the help!
