Drove a 1996 ram 1500 5.2L from london to stockholm, along the way the oil pressure dropped to zero and over time i learnt by keeping the motor under 2000rpm and the oil pressure would come back.
Anyway damage done as when the engine gets warmm, there is a low knocking noise and at idle the oil pressure is zero. blip the engine and the pressure comes back but so does the knocking. (Reading other sites i guess the rods are gone)
So question is : What other european or jap engines (and or gearbox) can be easily dropped into the bay replacing the old US motor.
