why is the blue book value on neons so low? are they crappy cars ? im thinking of buying one.
 
They aren't necessarily crappy cars. They were designed and built to be cheap transportation. It is because of that reason that the blue book values are so low. They are cheaply built, so you can expect to find some problems, but as with any car, if you take care of it, it will last a while.
