Hello

ALL MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN DONE ALREADY! Anything you could possibly think of has been changed, corrected, swapped....ETC! Yet, this problem NEVER goes away. I can not really afford to buy a new car at this time in this economy but yet I am scared to drive it with my child in the car! PLEASE PLEASE can anyone assist me with this. Think hard and go to the third thing you may be thinking because I most likely have already tried your first 2 thoughts... :-(

Engine light issues for over a year? Drive it to an auto parts store and have them hook up their OBD2 scanner and tell you what's wrong with it. They do it for free.

Second Option

Insert key into ignition.

Step 2 Starting at the off position, turn the key to the on position, back to the off position, once again to the on position, once again to the off position, and finally to the on position one last time. To summarize, that's three sets of Off to On sequences, starting from the initial insertion of the key.

Step 3 Be ready! The code(s) will then read out on your odometer. The codes should start with a 'P' which will be followed by four numbers.

Step 4 Consult a repair manual or local dealership to translate the code(s) to their corresponding issue(s).

Step 5 Assess whether this is something you'll try to fix or if you're going to take it in for repair.
