i have a 2005 dodge neon that when you accelerate and the rpm reach 2000 or above it begins to sputter and almost die. this happens while parked or while moving. changed spark plugs and wires and it is still doing it. it seems to have a hard problem accelerating or anything when the engine is above the 2000 rpm mark. we do not think it is the fuel system but have not looked at it yet. we took apart the intake area and found that when this problem happens the valve that is supposed to open when you accelerate does not open and then the problem occurs. i hope somebody can help me out. please! i need to fix this asap cuz i am going somewhere important tomorrow. thanks. and please do not just say "take it to a mechanic". that is NOT an option. thank you!
