I have 98 Dodge Grand Caravan with 3.3L engine. Problem occurs only on trips going up hills. The check engine light comes on (code is 700, possible bad trasmission module), when we stop and start going again, without stoping the car, the transmission will not shift out of 2nd gear. If I stop the car, turn it off, and wait a few minutes the transmission will shift normally. The check engine light will go off after a couple of days of non-hill driving. The dealer told me that it is probably not the transmission module, but the transmission solenoid. They also said it could just be overheating because the transmission fluid and filter are over due for changing (by about 25,000 mile) and they could tighten the belts. It there anyway to pinpoint if the problem lies in the module or the solenoid? Any sugestions would be great. Thanks,
