Dodge dimmer switch rewire?

I have an 87 Dodge Power Ram (pickup) and was wondering what wires do what for the dimmer switch. My headlights quit working but all the other lights are fine so I figured I would just wire up a toggle switch to control just the headlights. I currently have the toggle switch mounted up to run just the low beams. But I was wanting to use my new dimmer switch that I bought that mounts to the floor. It has 4 wires going into it. If anybody can tell me what color means what the would help me out alot (the colors are different from what is going into the headlight and the dimmer is stock).

Also, there is actually only 3 plugs (2 wires connect into one on the top). The top wire is Red with and Orange stripe, middle is Lime Green, and the bottom is Purple with a White stripe.
