Dodge 4.7 L Magnum engine uses coils instead of plug wires?

I didn't even no this?? so do i have to replace these on the tuneup?they are 35 bucks each! Or is it until they go bad? what would happen if i just changed the spark plugs? Why did they use coils for each plug instead of spark plug wires? Does it use a distributor cap? thanks
 
Coils are 10 times more accurate and resistance is no like spark plug wires. There is no distributor only an ignition coil. You do not need to replace these, only the spark plugs.
