I am a 28 year old female who has severe lurabar pain and sciatica. I have been into the ER 4 times this month because my primary care provider has not provided adequate care for me - plus my care is so fragmented and I have seen 3 different doctors there. I just switched today.
I had an MRI done which showed some degenerative changes and some arthritis - but they say that that's "normal". I have been treated as if my pain isn't real. I am taking valium for my muscle spasms which helps a bit but I am almost out. I am also taking 1200mg of ibuprofen every 4-6 hours becasue I am in so much pain and they don't believe that I need pain medication.
I have been referred to a pain clinic but that can take months before I can get in. I am sick and tired of being treated like shit because they can't find out what's wrong with me and think that I am faking it. Should I go back to the ER? WHat do you think?
