It wasn't the age that made me uncomfortable it was the fact that I could just imagine Martin feeling as if he'd walked in on his mother getting upto "naughties". After all, Aunty Joan was more of a mother to him than the other nasty piece of work.

He got a new dog for Christmas 2009 - a Jack Russell terrier named Jim. He mentions it on the Graham Norton show and in a few interviews. There are several pictures of them together on the internet also.
