Doc Martin (Part 7

I've often wondered what exactly it is that keeps me watching the series over and over again. The acting is outstanding and the scriptwriters are excellent. My husband and I sometimes use the same phrases we've heard on DM in everyday conversation-like "treat yourself to a noun" or "go with the flow." Being an American, I've enjoyed learning all the British phrases that we don't use over here. We have our own slang of course, but it's been fun to look some of the idioms up to find their meaning.
But I guess the main reason I love DM is because it's such a great love story.:D

Thanks PW. SounRAB as if KP isn't going to be in it.:(
It could be a good thing though -the worst thing would be for the show to go stale and a new receptionist could be an interesting challenge for the Doc.

Oh my!!! connie I'm so sorry!! I just visit Birkenstocks website!!!....that's terrible...and you have to go out with him, with those???....what can I say??.....my thoughts are with you!! :(

Man sandals are a crime against humanity!!

It is very different and I think not very believable. Doesn't MC portray DM as being around 48 years of age? I think Pauline is around Al's age, 26 or 27? The Doc could be Pauline's father:eek: --too much of an age difference. Not impossible for them to have a romantic relationship, but as the Doc would say, "Highly unlikely." I also remember a line from Series 2, "Mid-twenties, cheap looking."

I'm also disappointed about the new website being only for the Brits. I guess I'll have to email them to let them know about us across the pond. Just my two cents.

Enjoying all the "canon" fanfiction. Outstanding work, everyone!:)
