Do young people in England copy American culture while simultaneously criticising...

...America? using terms like 'awesome', 'hot', 'dude' and 'sucks', watching their films, buying their products, wearing I love NY t shirts, listening to their rap and hip hop (in the case of the lower classed), and travelling there...while at the same time saying they hate America and Americans are stupid and fat, cause it's fashionable and hip to do so

Err well i'm a young English person and to be honest I can't remember the last time I used any of the expressions above.I don't have an I love NY T-Shirt, I don't like Rap or Hip Hop ,although R&B is alright!I like some American films but most American humour I don't find funny. I've never visited America and I don't expect most Americans are stereotypically stupid and fat.
This goes for most of my friends and although some of the 'lower-classed' kids do like rap music ,they don't use the terms above have NY t-shirts are necessarily think American are stupid and fat.
I wouldn't say it was fashionable or 'hip-hop' as you put it!
