Do you wish Twilight was never written, not only for the peace, but for other AUTHORS?

I still like Twilight but i'm beginning to despise it because I started writing a vampire novel with a similar plot in 2006. I WAS 12. I AM NOW 15. I was 12 then, but i didn't read books at all (besides HP, ones i randomly picked up for book projects, from friends, etc.). I only wrote stories and drew manga, so therefore I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT IT!

In 2007/2008, I was really satisfied and rewrote it and fixed errors, plus started a sequal and a 1/2 to be published. But that was when Twilight's fame exploded. I've still been writing and fixing things and I still plan on publishing because it has expanded into 6 NOVELS now.

My obsession lessened to just a like and now feel kind of hypocritical against Twilight, but it makes me angry because it is taking over and is not as good as it is said.

My book's got action, a lot of funny, some creepy horror, and some high school drama (which sort of reminds me of Degrassi or The Hills since it is in a setting where drama is attracted like metal--California.)

The couple set in my book are not obsessed with one another, just grateful and blessed, especially the guy in the relationship, the vampire. He sees his girlfriend as a true blessing and a gift of peace and beauty to help him redeem himself from his past. He doesn't want to ever be a vampire ever again, so he lives his life in his human form.

The girl in the relationship wants nothing more but to save her boyfriend from his pure-blooded vampire half and keep him away from a dark commitment and a threatening piece of his past that returns. She exudes with teenish tendencies but is intelligent, witty, clever and insightful underneath, which seperates her from the shallow cliches she revolves around.

The guy in the relationship is mostly reflective, mostly because of and pertaining to his past life. He is somewhat childish and heartbroken on the inside because he is in need of his parents who are separated from him. Resiliently, he often makes up for that by always being positive--he jokes around a lot and usually is the life of the party. He seems to have something different from all of the boys, but he believes he is nothing special because in truth he is just like everyone else. he does not believe in human perfection one bit, because that is a painful reminder. He gives Karmie's life more of a balance, gives it more life.
