My wife always insists that our dog's feet must be wiped with a damp cloth when it comes inside, even if it is not muddy outside. I do it (except when she's not in the house) because it is easier to do it than argue about it, but it seems like a very weird thing to do. I suspect we are just about the only people in the world who do this.
