I ask this question because he is arguably the best player in the world right now yet he doesn't seem to have the tools or skill set of a Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan.
This leads me to a follow up question of whether pro basketball has become such a physical game that skill is now no longer (or minimally) a factor when it comes to having success.
Compare some of the super stars of the past to the present
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar vs Dwight Howard
Larry Bird vs LeBron James
As you can see the past is clearly more skilled but the present is a lot stronger physically.
