painted them as the bad guys? certainly germans will admit that they had their problems but they are a little perplexed as to how, after having murdered and stolen for the last thousand years, and continuing to do so right to the present day, that the british have very successfully managed to portray germany as the only bad guy on the block - let us not forget that the british invented concentration camps.
A similar situation with Israel who are now doing all the things they accuse the germans of.
Is this an example of the current harriet harman female thinking whereby it only counts as violence if it is against women or certain specified groups - that is, it's Ok if we do it..
It's quite stunning hypocrisy and self deception, isn't it?
I can't really see how if we are ever going to make progress with this sort of double standards and blindness.

Theres an old saying, I think it goes... People don't start wars, Governments do.

The idea is that people are told, and in some cases mislead and brainwashed into believing that the other guy is bad. They are just doing what they thought was right under the circumstances.

It doesn't matter weather their German, Japanese, Russian, Vietnamese, Jewish, Muslim, Catholic, English, or American. Its the leaders of the all of governments and religions that you should be looking at, not the people. Not one citizen of any nation has ever started a war. Live and let live. (Tell your leaders as well)

I don't see the LGBT relevance of this. You may like to know that Britain and Germany are the best of friends and any remaining antipathy remains only with people who lived through WWII. To bring some LGBT relevance into this answer, I'm British, my boyfriend is German, and Nazism is the last thing on our minds.

I agree Harriet Harperson is a complete nutter but the premise of your question is hopelessly outdated as far as I can see.
