So i was trying to take off my friends brake line going to his caliper so i can push the piston in. I was pulling up towards me on the front driver side, which, when you look at it head on, it would be counter clock wise. Well, i ended up SNAPPING MY TOOLS! Is it suppost to be counter clock wise or what!? Now the bolt is stripped and not even vise grips can grab hold of it, what am i doing wrong!?

Its a 91-94 Cadillac Deville

counter clock wise you should not have 2 remove the line 2 release the calipers grip is there not a bleed bolt try removing the lid from the master then once its off use a c clamp to compress the piston into the housing use a piece of wood or flat plate steel 2 keep from damaging the caliper with clamp don't beat or pry on caliper it may break

It is counter clockwise to take it off but you dont need to do all that. The piston will compress in just watch the level in the master. The best tool for the piston might be a C clamp.
