Do you tip at a buffet?

I work at a buffet and I live off my tips. I find it very offensive that people think we don't deserve to be tipped. I know we don't get your food for you or whatever but we still work very hard. We make waitress wages-$4.65 an hour.

Yes,if and only,if he/she is courteous and efficient. I find it offensive when servers automatically think they deserve a tip.

yes, We do. Atleast $2 if its just me and my husband. There have only been maybe 2 occasions where we haven't tipped, and that was because we were ignored by the server, had to find someone else to get our drinks, or even refill them ourselves, so no, that doesnt deserve a tip.. Where do you live? Waitress wages here are under 4 bux

Wow, when I was a waitress at a normal restaurant, I only made $2.13 an hour, which is standard for waitstaff. We depended on tips too, and people sometimes wouldn't bother, even though we took the orders, brought the food, checked up on everyone, and cleaned up afterward.

I always tip my server at a normal restaurant 20% of the bill, but at a buffet, it really depends on the server. Some buffets I've been to, I wasn't even aware I had a server, because he/she never came around, so I left no tip. Other times, I've had wonderful service and left a full 20%.

yes , i think that is a very hard job , you have to not only serve some stuff but clean and deal with not so nice people .....so yes !

I tip at the buffet if the server brings me my drinks, napkins, and such, but if I have to do everything myself, then no, I don't tip.

I work very hard at my job, too, but nobody tips me and if I thought I needed more money, I would ask my boss for a raise or seek employment elsewhere.
