Do you think you are immature for watching cartoons?

Yeah, I consider myself pretty weird, but definitely not immature. So, I have to agree with everyone else that watching cartoons doesn't make one immature.

Honestly yeah. Well not "immature" but more "child-like" since virtually all the shows and movies that I care about are animated and aimed for children/family audiences.

To answer the question, I don't think that I'm immature for watching cartoons. I'm 20 years old and I've watched cartoons for ages. I never saw a real reason to stop it since I've enjoyed a lot of them. I've never understood the idea that you can't enjoy a show unless your within the target audience that the general public has with cartoons. I've honestly tried watching the shows that are geared more towards people my own age, but I couldn't really get into them.

As for immaturity, that doesn't come from what a person watches. That has more to do with how a person acts in situations and towards people. I would be seen as a more shy, probably odd, hopefully friendly and quite kind of person than immature. While I usually don't tell people my interest, that doesn't mean that I'm ashamed of it. It's more like a safety net. I've been bullied for what I like, especially Pokemon back in the day, and instead of putting myself in a vulnerable position with letting people know what I like, I keep it to myself. With the exception of my parents of course. It works better for me. Though, the fact that I don't like socializing probably helps, which also goes back to my shy and quiet traits that I mentioned.

So basically, my answer would be no.

The only one who's ever called me immature for liking cartoons is my dad. (My mom loves animation though.)

My friends acknowledge that a lot of the animation I watch is good, and they enjoy it too, so there really isn't any worry there.

I think I'm kind of immature but it has nothing to do with me watching cartoons.

Now if anyone ever calls you immature for watching cartoons where you're a lot older than the target audience, just plead nostalgia ;)

I've considered it. I've had my interests mocked by my family and even my tutors to some degree (when I've referenced influences in projects). I like to psycho analyse people, including myself, so I've hit on a few ways my interests and attitude might be a handicap. But in general, it's what I enjoy and a big part of it is that I've always been keen to see something created be it a piece of art or an achievment by a person. There's so much work that goes into animation that it's obviously alot of creativity on various levels. I'd like to think appreciating that is a sign of maturity. I'd certainly rather watch certain animated shows than reality TV crap and bad soap operas.

Do I think that I'm immature for watching cartoons? No, I think that immature because I'm immature.

But a lot of the cartoons that i've been watching these days are cartoons that aren't necessarily intended for kids. There's the DC Universe pg-13 movies, as well as South Park, and Family Guy.
