It could work as a middle name. By the time the kid has grown up no one will associate it with her. But the kid could have psychological issues with it. You could be seeing a therapist about it. You'd want to read Memorial candles: children of the Holocaust By Dina Wardi. It talks about the psychologist issues that people who were named after holocaust victims suffered. Just look at some of the table of contents:

I don't think that anyone has a good image when they here that name. I think you could do better You could even use Bahney as a first name that would be pretty like Bahney Jade Good luck
It's a lovely name without the news context, but it would be incredibly creepy given that story. I don't think I'll ever be able to separate the name from that story for as long as I live.
