Your perception of quality is twisted. To answer you question, Toyota has already done so with the Supra Twin Turbo. I think it was about 320 horsepower, and capable of much more. At the time, this was more power than the Mustang or Camaro.

As for quality, I own a 1974 Chevy Nova. I have beat the snot out of this car for 25 years and still going strong. It's 35 years old now. How many 35 year old Toyota's do you see on the road?
 
...Mustang/Camaro class? I'm a fan of muscle cars, but since Toyota makes better quality than Ford, and GM, I was wondering if we could look forward to quality muscle cars in the near future.
