So a few weeks ago at school (October 15th), I was walking and this girl from class said hi to me and I said hi back. So then she started talking and asked me if I worked at an Auto Zone somewhere and I told her no(which is true). So then she said that I reminded her of some guy and that my voice sounded like the guys. e didn't look confused when she was asking me. She asked me something like if anyone told me I have a "calm voice" or something like that. I said, "No but people have told me I have a soothing voice." and she was like bending over laughing and said "Like a radio DJ voice?" and I said "Yea." I appeared a little nervous though as I was keeping my hands in my pockets, she was a pretty girl. =) I also asked her what her name was and once she told me, I told her mine and we shook hands. She sounded a little nervous when she told me her name. She looked like she was straining her voice a little and her eyes came out some. I think she also asked me if I sounded like a DJ in the area. lol
But I said to her, "Yea that's funny how some people remind you of others" and she said "Yea I know" and then she took off.
So then when she was waiting in line at the cafeteria, I sat a table close to the line to see if she would come over but she didn't, she sat next to her girlfriend which I didn't mind. No harm done.
So I emailed the girl after school (the same Friday, 10/15) and told her that I didn't know she was Armenian. She said in class today that she is. I thought that cool because I'm part Armenian on my mothers side.
I got her email address from our campus webpage. Our webpage has it where you can send emails to the instructor or to students in the class. Everyone has their own school address and I sent my email to her school address. Everyone's email is in the school database and I just picked her name off the class list.
So then she replied to me ten days later on the 25th and wrote back to me:
Deep voice guy?? lol No kidding-- your right, there is a very small handful of Armenians in this state. Thats very cool : )
So once she emailed me back, I didn't reply to her right away because I wanted to take some time to think about what to say to her.
I went back to class on October 29th before I replied to her. I was paying attention to how she acted around me and she didn't try to talk to me in class. I notice she always talks to her girlfriend during our break. She's always sitting at a table with her.
But the girl I like was talking to our instructor about her USB drive and she didn't say anything to me the whole time. She was just waiting for the instructor to help her.
So I emailed her (from the reply she sent me on the 25th) asking her how her research was coming along for our paper and she hasn't gotten back with me. I emailed her on the 30th, so five days after she replied to me.
Do you think she likes me?
