Situation need some guidance and honest opinions. So about a 1/2 years ago I got a loan from check and go. Health problems with daughter, had to miss a lot of work. I was only able to pay half the loan back. This company call Check Administration Service called I paid them through electronic payment with my bank. Now that I'm thinking about it I never received a paid in full letter. Just recently I get a call from another company stating I still owe the money to check ago. I was so shocked and appauled. Its like they called out of the blue. Apparently the people I paid it to were some kind of fraud. The new company that's calling me knows about them. They will not accept my bank statements showing the same amount that they say I owe was already paid. Now they are trying to serve me papers and take me to court.
I tried to keep my story simple. Should I get a lawyer? What should I say or do when go to court? Do you think its a possiblity it will be thrown out of court.
