Do you think the U.S military would ever overthrow the current Senate?

Do you think it is possible that one day the leadership in the military would get together and decide that the country has had enough with the corruption and stupidity of the Senate who have sold out their country to special interests (On both sides) and decide to overthrow the Senate? Hold military trials and charge most Senators with treason. How likely is that to happen in the U.S?

Mutiny and treason are against the law and are punishable by death. Our military is accountable to the Senate. It is not the other way around. Citizens need to hold elected officials accountable, not the military. To think that this is a good or feasible idea is terrible. Look at countries like Honduras. Do not wish for martial law, it is not good.

The senate and the house are parts of the congress and the president is the commander and chief.

It would never happen. Congress controls the military's money. Not too many soldiers would fight if they suddenly stopped getting a paycheck.
