Do you think the media's Michael Jackson coverage was too extensive?

I watch CNN throughout the whole entire day and for the last two weeks, whenever I turned on the network it was talking about Michael Jackson every single time I tunned in. I mean shouldn't the North Koreran missile threats get more coverage than MJ and what even happened in the fallout to the Iranian election. It seems like they just totally dropped the coverage on these important events. And what is totally ironic, is that I haven't even seen Barack Obama's face on television for the last two weeks...

i thought the coverage given to michael jackson was to much after the first time i heard he had died. yes he was a popular singer and dancer in the past. but he was also an accused child molester, more than once. he was also the same fool who dangled his baby over an upper story balcony. he was strange enough that the british press had nicknamed him wacko jacko. he may have been preparing a new show for london but he had also not recorded or performed for a number of years

in my world the passing of farah fawcett was a much bigger news event. this was a lady who had bravely and publicly been fighting cancer for years. and she showed that she was a woman of courage and dignity. two things wacko jacko will never be
