Do you think the media was out to destroy Ashlee Simpson's career?

Ashlee Simpson was respected as a singer until her SNL snafu. People looked down on her after that and the media kept hounding her, which made everything in her career go downhill. I remembered watching the Ashlee Simpson show when she gave a perfectly good number on the Orange Bowl stadium and I heard loud whistlings of boos from the crowd. Ashlee Simpson was so talented and its a shame that people don't see that from her because the media destroyed her image

TBH, I do know of Ashlee Simpson (sister of Jessica, singer yes!) but she was never that big or respected over here in the UK. Too bad, that her career is on the slide, but that's show business!
