Do you think THE MEDIA IS PUTTING TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON PEOPLE TO BE THIN?

Yes I think so. People are obsessed with being thin. I remember wen England's Fergie first made it in the public eye. The media called her heavy - I though she was just beautiful. She didn't have a cookie cutter figure - meaning the same as everyone else. Sooo, she lost a lot of weight and the media said she was "way too thin". God, make up your rminiscule minds why don't you? Look at the media calling Jennifer Love Hewitt fat. Get real people. She is gorgeous, and again, not a cookie cutter figure. I watched a special on her and the people that make her clothes for the Ghost Whisperer say she is a delight to fit as she is unique. Kudos to them.

My office manager lost 25 pounds. She has been ill ever since. She is always out sick with something. Over the last year she gained back 10 of those pounds and looks very good. Mind you she is not a short person and she looked really, really good. Surprise, surprise, her migraines have diminished considerably. She bought a WII system, the exercise one, and it actually told her she was obese. She is now on a crash diet, eating only carrot sticks and celery. Surprise, surpise, she was out sick last Monday. Coincidence? I think not.

I know people that are heavy and do not have high cholesterol, high blood pressure and feel just great about themselves. Not depressed at all. I know thin people on tons of medications while the "fatty boom booms" as you put it are not. I'd like to see what you look like. I'm sure I could find something about you to mock out too.

It's the people out there that let the fools and idiots calling them names get to them that get depressed.

I'll say one thing for a lot of black people. They are not ruled by this you have to be thin craze. They are heavy and comfortable in their own skins. Kudos to them.

Yes they are. Its simple. People are getting depressed because they are not thin and depression can easily make a person turn to food in order to cheer themselves up.

Then the cycle continues.
