I would really appreciate hearing other peoples opionions on this topic is for my background reasearch for my sociology coursework. Thanks for the help.

Definitely, we see and read about so many horrendous crimes that we really have become immune to the horror ..

I really think it has. The media will publish anything nowadays with no holds barred. I know I read horrific stories that would have made me sick years ago, and I just think, here we go again.

Absolutely,if you think, back years ago, murder was a terrible crime,it made big headlines, now it is on nearly every page of the papers now, think of the moors murders,it was the sensation news of the sixties, I know child murder is different, but any murder is awful.when you watch films and plays now, there is so much murder that you just accept it now, look at the films, they kill everybody in sight, and just walk away.I think it is time it was looked at in the film indusrty as our children are growing up just expecting this as entertainment. hope this is of help, but it is only my opinion
