Nope.......What Republicans fail to realize is that they can't win a election with only the base. As long as the Republicans remain the all white party and not reach out to minorities then they wont be winning many elections in the future.

Rush, Sean, et al, have broken with the GOP on more than one occasion, so your entire premise is flawed. But seeing how these guys were around all through the 90 as well as early this decade and the GOP did pretty darn well in the elections, EVEN IF your premise was true, they don't have much to complain about. The problems with the GOP... and there certainly are some... have nothing to do with minorities, independents, and talking heads and everything to do with distancing themselves from their Conservative base.

Well, they have in the past.

None of those guys are politicians but they do help with the republican base. The problem is the republican and democratic bases are roughly the same size and independents and moderates are usually the deciding votes. What those guys can't do is grow the base. They have everybody they are ever gonna have.

Besides that, their audiences are really old. That does not bode well for their futures.

I'm an elected official and I belong to the Republican Party. I have never listened to any of those commentators.
