I do believe that hauntings and such can occur, but I've learned enough of the Amityville case and the Defeo murders to have drawn quite a different conclusion about the place. If you believe the haunting claims, that's fine, I have no problem or beef with you over it, I just don't buy it and we can just agree to disagree. But for those who doubt the haunting story, what do you think would motivate the new owners (at the time) to make up such seemingly outlandish claims?
