Do you think that we are seeing the beginning of the end of western civilization?

How does the right to shop, or having personal freedoms (like choices I make in sexual partners) destroy society?

The only reason it would is people being unable to accept what my personal choices are (again, choices in sexual partners, etc.)

What people don't realize is that everything we are more openly expressing has been going on since the beginning of time.....it was all just well hidden before.

There has always been pedophilia, rape, murder, child abuse. etc.....we just hear about it a lot because of advances in communication (internet, television) and people actually talk about these things now. I think what is really eroding society is not personal freedoms, but media hype and hysteria, and people's inability to accept people that are different than themselves.

I mean, we all know and can agree that certain things are dead wrong (like hurting another, stealing, rape/child abuse) but things between consenting adults that do not harm others should be left up to the individual.


Geez....I am tired. I don't even know if I made sense here....LOL! If I did not, I apologize......I have done a lot of homework today!

So, It appears that there are historical patterns, how much is the cult Liberalism helping to destroy civilization? I don't mean the original ideals of Liberalism, but today's version that means one can do or 'express themselves' regardless of responsibilities?
