Do you think that this is weird?

My friend is a 17 year old virgin. She has also never kissed a boy. No, she is not gay. She made this promise to her mom, that she wont kiss any boys until she was 17.
 
i think its really cool and responsible to herself to wait on sex

however i would wonder if by committing to this is she committing herself away from connections. no im not saying to get hitched or something

im saying shes preventing herself from learning about people, learning about herself, missing out on experience and depriving herself away from meaningful people.

i say she shouldn't sleep with people yet(thats actually kinda awesome) but i would suggest not to close yourself off from people. life is a social game, and getting to know people can b fulfilling.
 
No, I don't think it's weird. It's ignorant of people to assume that those who don't kiss or have sex by a certain age that they must be gay or weird. It just means that they haven't met the right person and they have a lot of respect for their body to be so choosy.
 
this is not weird. it shows that she is very trustworthy. you can Advise her to start playing the field, but let the kisses and love come to her and let her chase them, not you.
