@Imperial Saudaukar: I think you are right. I have traveled extensively in Bangladesh and government after government keep filling their coffers sucking the poor like mosquitoes. There were such hartals that I am sure BD is noted as #1 in the world for hartals; yes, there are some positive changes now and I can see some such moves as banning Maudidi books in Mosques as a good step in sending a message that radical Islam will not be tolerated, however a thousand more gestures like these are needed for real progress.
