representation for this great author? My husband bought me this book - knowing that I loved her books and would appreciate this. I started reading it with great anticipations and delight - until to my horror and disgust I came across a swear word! I ignored it and carried on, but nearly every page held this same swear word and other descriptions that need not be used! I am both angry and sad because if the swearing was taken out - it is a SPLENDID book - but all I want to do is throw it away now!

Did you feel this way and did it ruin your enjoyment?
I had a feeling that you all were going to say somthing like this!

But the cover says that this is a book for all Jane Austen lovers!

Of course there is swearing going on all the time and I do it my self from time to time, but does that mean it is ok?

I am not precious but am a christian and HATE it when I hear people swearing!

I am going to allow your curiosity to flourish as I will not put this word down!

When I read this type of book, I want it to get me laughing, which it did, but adding swearing made me wonder what she actually thinks of those who LIKE reading Jane Austen's books?

Would you want a child studying this book in school? After all it has been made into a film!
