Do you think that Stephenie Meyer should stop being ridiculed and called a bad author?

Stepenie Meyer has only completed 5 books. (twilight, new moon, eclipse, breaking dawn, and host). She is a very new author. ever since the beginning, when she first wrote twilight, people have called it literary garbage. I am a die-hard twilight fan, but even before i read the books, it really made me mad, that even "professionals" call the twilight saga bad. Especially that they fail to see that she IS an ametuer, only because she is in the dawn of her writing career.. she will get better and more experienced, as she grows as an author and a person. i think that it is wonderful that twilight started as simply a dream of hers, and when she woke up, she began writing. it is inspiring that she was able to do that. so anyone who dosen't like stephenie meyer or her books or whatever, don't read them if you think it isn't good.. no one asked you to pick the book up, so why be nasty and say you hate it. if you didn't like it, dont read all four books and then tell the world how bad it is...
KK, i think you should take your words and shove them up your ass. what books have you written, and were they actually successful?
 
YES! She doesn't deserve all the crap that she is getting! NO ONE deserves that! Why can't everyone just leave her alone?

She is my inspiration! After I found out how she started her first book, it made me want to write. One year after reading her book, I am already 160 pages into a book that started nearly the same way as hers.
It is HARD WORK to write a book! Last night I was up till midnight, and I only got 4 pages written! But that is 4 more than I had before!
Anyone who can turn a dream, or even an idea into a book is a genius and deserves credit for their achievements!

I have read all of her books at least 5 times each, and loved them each and every time! I love her writing, and I thank her for her hard work and persistence!

I hope someday all of these people will stop being so cruel!
 
Yeah they should back off. Her writing is good and it enchants readers who are both young and old. The movie of her books puts it to shame though. Too bad! They should give her a break she's a good writer and the Twilight saga is a great series!
 
No I dont really think its bad. I think people are intitled to there own opions.
 
Well said! Whether you liked the books or not, respect the authors! Writing a book is hard, and something that takes practice! Just because Stephenie Meyer was lucky enough to be successful with her first novel, it does not give people the right to trash-talk it. To say that you dislike it is one thing, but to complete annihilate anyone's hopes of ever enjoying it is another thing. Come on people, be respectful!
 
i hate twilight because the fan base consists of 12 year old hopeless romantic fan girls who have no idea what they're reading

and it doesn't matter how experienced you are in the book-world

your writing can only evolve so much, and Meyer really cant improve much more, it still sucks,it's weak and has no backbone, and it's cliche and makes vampires look bad
 
I think she should try to improve her skills. The books themselves weren't that bad - until the end. She destroyed the ending of her own series, almost as if she was tired of writing it. I don't think she's a horrible writer, I just don't think the work deserves all the attention it has received.
