Do you think that sports figures deserve to make the amounts of money that they do?

I was wondering if I could get some opinions on whether or not you think that sports figures should be making the high amounts of money that they do?

If you could explain why you think they should or shouldn't make the large amounts of money that they do, I would appreciate it :)
I'm not saying that I think they are overpaid, I'm just curious to find out what other people think about it too
 
do be fair, a lot of people could do what they do, you just need determination and a lot of free time :P

beckham gets payed way too much
