Do you think that it is possible to start your own sport?

My daughter and her friend started a sport. It's called swoccer. They want to start a league this summer with 6 kids around their age. Hopefully, other people will start their own teams and they can play against each other. Do you think people would start a team for a made up sport? We all hope people do because it's a good idea!! Do you think parents would let their kids play a sport that isn't actually a sport yet? Please tell us what you think!!! Thanks!! :)
Also, what do you think about team names? They want the colors to be white and blue. We thought of the Buccaneers or Bobcats.

p.s.- I let my daughter name my account name because she really likes swoccer!
 
of course, but it's up to them to recruit. the kids from my street used to play kids from other streets in the neighborhood in everything. our sports were decided by what was being played professionally at the time and weirdly enough our most popular season was base soccer which was a mix of baseball and kickball (less broken windows). p.s. swoccer sounds like water polo
 
of course its possible to start your own sport. aslong as its fun . easy . safe . and enjoyable to watch . if you can meet thoose then you have no problem starting out your own sport.. and it depends how much the kids like it . because its there dedication that makes the sport .
