Do you think that girls wrestling is an appropriate sport to add to high schools?

My high school has added girls wrestling 3 years ago and I joined and loved it..its pretty big here! i just want to know your opinon on it! it wont hurt my feelings!!
p.s. im not a lesbian haha

I don't think it's that horrible.
Guys wrestle, why can't girls?
Just because two guys wrestle, it doesn't mean they're gay, right? ;)

Hey, if you're all having fun, then why second guess it? I wish my school had wrestling for girls.. some of those girls I would love to beat the sh*t out of, they p*ss me off so much, lol.

edit: damn profanity filter.

Yep...girls and guys wrestle in the bedroom all the time. But for the person claiming that girls and guys wrestle all the time outside of school...are you on crack? Put a 155 pound, in shape male, against a 155 pound in shape female, and who is your money going to be on?

There will of course be the exception to the rule...the female that is developed and build just right, to where she will succeed against the guy, but carry this over to any sport, and explain your idiotic sense of logic. Who do you think wins a game of 1 on 1...Kobe or Lisa Leslie? A tennis match...Roger Federer or Serena Williams? A home run derby...Albert Pujols or the home run record holding female softball player? Please put some thought into what you say.

If the push is for equality among races, sexes, religions etc. How could it possibly be fair to make all females who want to compete in high school wrestling go against the male counterparts?

As far as the original question goes, if the interest is there, and they're able to fill teams with qualified athletes, it's absolutely appropriate to add. Two females competing in a wrestling match (and I mean REAL wrestling, not the sports-entertainment, WWE stuff) is no more wrong than 2 males doing the same thing. So, if you're interested in taking up the sport, best of luck to you, and don't allow anyone to tell you there is anything wrong with what you're doing.
