DO you think that book authors ever secretly join RP sites based on their own books?

If you were an author would YOU do it?
 
No. I'd check them out though. I bet a lot of authors look to see what's being written about their stuff, but I can't see them joining. If your book is already published, it's worth more money to you to just write a sequel, so why write about it for free?

That actually sounds hilarious.
I wouldn't join RP sites based on my book, but I would definitely check them out and see what people are writing.

That's a silly question. And the answer is no. A real author creates their work with their minds not with round table RPs. Heck, I do text-based RPs, I love it, given if it's good, but I don't plan on creating a novel from it. I have my own ideas from my own mind not with another person or what not.

Think, did famous writers RP before the internet was born? They just had a pen and a piece of paper.
