I sometimes see piteous homeless people on the streets of New York City and sometimes serve to them randomly at local restaurants like McDonald's and Burger King, Bennigun's or Outback at night. I really feel sorry for them, but I know that some of them are doing that because they just don't like to work!!
I grew up in a relatively rich family, and am financially well built to help poor people.
I also served to some police officers whom I met in the streets and ended up sharing contacts. Police officers have the high possibility of being shot by criminals which gave me respectful feelings towards them.
Do you think showing kindness to poor people is a useful and meaningful thing to do?
