Husband's parents always calling up wife's parents for complains about their daughters. wife put up with it for 10 months finally she also started replying back and defended herself and her parents. husband was never happy with her and would go to his parents for every single complain her had with her , his parents used to call them to their house and would shout at them and insult. finally she stood up for herself and they called her disrespectful & ill-mannered.

There is an old saying 'you can choose yr friends but you can't pick yr relatives'. This is very true, however both husband & wife need to sit down together as adults & sort their own issues out not go phoning 'in-laws & out-laws to cause further ill feeling in the extended family. Maturity is the only way to sort this out. The in-laws & outlaws need to keep their noses out of a married union if the husband is complaining to his parents about his wife then he needs to get a set. If the wife can't tell him to grow up or tell her parents to keep their noses out you have a definite recipe for disaster.

If her husband did not stand up to his parents and support his wife, then HE is the disrespectful one imo.

He sounds like a chump. Wife sounds okay to me.
