Do you think PS3 will sell well on teh ebay?

a PS3 on ebay is gonna get me new brakes on my truck and less credit card debt, I think.

While I don't think it's gonna be as popular as the Xbox 360, there's still plenty of dorks with disposable income who want to be the first to have it.

Why the fuck does it matter what order they come out in? The Wii is coming out AFTER the PS3 by the way, which means it'll be the SECOND "next" generation console to hit the market. You're naive if you think the 500k units available worldwide will quench the thirst of starving Playstation fanboys. It doesn't matter if you don't think the PS3 is worth $1200. I don't think Tickle Me Elmos are worth $100, but people were paying $200 for them when they came out. I didn't think the Xbox 360 was worth $800-1200 on launch day and I still don't think it's worth that much, but people were paying $800-1200 for them on launch day. OK ok, we get it, you're not going to pay $1200 for a PS3 on eBay, but the people selling their PS3s on eBay aren't trying to sell it to people like you. Try wrapping your head around that idea.

So are preorderings really beginning tommorow? I've been out of the loop because I heard that most places won't be doing any preorders.

I don't think I am waiting out for the PS3's. I did sell some X360s on launch day though.. but waiting around all night was pretty fucking retarded.

I posted this in the other thread...

Buying one to sell on eBay is just not worth my time.

1 - EB/Gamestop will do packages...so you're looking at over $800, just get one from there. Then, add eBay fees, Paypal fees, Tax (from EB), Shipping fees, etc...and you're gonna have to sell it for over $1,050 JUST to get $100 free and clear profit on it. You won't find too many people that will pay that....there weren't even that many 360's that went for over $700-800.

2 - If you want just the system....you'll have to camp out for it. 8+ hours overnight, in the cold at Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal Mart, etc....just to have the chance to get one. Then...you're back to adding eBay fees, Paypal fees, Tax, etc...you're still gonna have to sell it for over $800, just to get $100 clear. And is $100 really worth waiting in the cold all night, and all the hassle? I'd have to at least get $200-300 clear, for it to be worth my time....but then you're talking about a harder sale.

3 - People remember the success of the 360 on eBay last year. But that was also the ONLY next gen system available for the holiday last year. It was the hot ticket item. Now...you've got 3 next gen systems battling it out. The PS3 is gonna be a harder sell on eBay...than the 360 was last year.

seriously, people wont listen though, i would also like to add to your list 5. EVERYONE without a job or college degree is going to try to be working this little scheme on ebay, ebays going to be flooded with guys trying to do this

I believe they open at 10 AM, maybe 9. I've heard some people are already camping out at some locations. And some reports have said that each store will only get around 10-20 units.
