In many developing countries, there aren't social class divisions nearly to the extent as in the United States. Also, there is more emphasis on community in many tribes. Granted, some rituals take place we would consider barbaric and there's a higher prevalence of disease. But I'm thinking in terms of not knowing any other culture besides their own, is the average person fundamentally happier than the average person from a developed country?
