Chapter 1

Hi, my name is Mary. This Summer was perfect. How did it all change when school started? I’ll tell you the whole story. This Summer I hung out with my BFSK (Best Friend Since Kindergarten) Chelsea. We used to be BFFs. But when we got to high school... She changed. She started hanging out with Courtney. And I had to say, she looked like she wore more expensive looking outfits now. The first day of school was horrible. I regret going that day. It went like this: Me: “Hi, Chelsea! Do you have Ms. Mokake for homeroom?” She replied, “No, go away.” “But. I don’t get it.” “What don’t you get? Go. Away.” “But Chelsea! We are BFF’s!” “Mary, that was when I was childish.” “Bu-” “Go away! Courtney will see me with you!” After that I decided to go in the bathroom and cry for the next 3 minutes till the bell rang. Then, while I cried, someone said, “What’s wrong?”

It was Chrissa, a girl who was quiet, had long blond hair and braces. She was nice, but I could never strike up a conversation with her. I said, “Well, nothing, except my friend isn’t my friend anymore. I hate Courtney so much!” “I understand. Courtney got Chelsea into the popular crowd.” I thought, “Wow, this girl isn’t really that bad.” Then the bell rang. Chrissa said, “Bye!” I hurried to my class so I wouldn’t be late. I was cheered up by her a little, I thought as I walked down the hallway.

School With Ms. Mokake
Chapter 2

“Ok class, get out your materials for your next period,” Ms. Mokake said after first period. I decided she was funny and crazy, but sometimes got really frazzled! After that class, Chrissa, who is sadly not in my homeroom class, met me by a drinking fountain. She said, “I’m surprised I saw you here!” I, just as surprised, said, “Me too, but I’m glad I did!” She said, “I’m glad, too!” We laughed. I said, “Well, I’m off to Mrs. Weatherall’s science class. Bye! See you later!” “Wait. I’m in Mrs. Weatherall’s class now, too!” At the same time we both said, “Really? Yay! We’ve got to stop doing that!” That led to laughter and scrabbling into class not to be late. Apparently, Mrs. Weatherall wasn’t as nice as she sounded, because she said, “You’re late,” in a very sharp tone. We both mumbled, “Sorry, Mrs. Weatherall.” She then brightened her face and said, “It’s ok. I was just kidding! Anyway, I always let you have two minutes after the bell to do whatever!” We were surprised! I said, “Really?” Mrs. Weatherall said, “No! I don’t have a lot of time to teach. Get here faster or you’ll get a detention!” We scrambled to our seats. She was so mean! She told us how horrible we were and I was glad to get out! Chrissa said, “Wow, that lady has serial killer written all over her!” I laughed and said, “I think our backpacks are heavy enough to kill us. She gave us too much homework! She’s all about child abuse!” Chrissa giggled, while I smiled. “I think you’re right, Mary!”

Then Chelsea walked down the hallway with the “pack,” as I call them. Courtney said to us, “Look at the loser girls!” Chelsea said “Yeah, they could form a loser club! Martin Swarle could join! Ha ha!.” Martin was a geek, but he was nice. I said, “Hey, Martin isn’t THAT bad!” Chelsea laughed (which now sounded like a cackle, not her soft laugh) and replied, “Ha! That proves it! You are The Losers!” I burst into the nearest bathroom to cry.

Can’t Stop Crying
Chapter 3

In the bathroom, I kept crying. Chrissa couldn’t get me to stop. It was wimpy. Chrissa said, “It’s ok, I got you!” I said, “No...it’s not... I... not... loser!... How... could... she... Used ...be ... BFF!” Chrissa tentatively said, “Well, I don’t want to say this, but we have to go to class. Oh that sounded mean! You’re in need. Sorry.” I said, “No, you’re right, Chrissa, let’s go to class now.” I had to pull myself together. We went to class. But then...

The Fight
Chapter 4

I walked into class, and... the worst possible thing happened! Well, kind of. I silently screamed in my head. Courtney and Chelsea were in my class. To make matters worse, so was Martin. Courtney said, “Look! There’s the other club member of CLUB LOSER!” Chrissa quietly said, “Yup, you’re here.” Courtney said, angrily, “WHAT DID YOU SAY?” Courtney’s face was getting as red as her hair! My mind told me to run, but I stood. Chrissa bravely said, “Do you need an explanation? You’re a member of Club Loser. Nothing YOU can do about that.” Courtney stammered, “Well...No... You’re loser! I’m NOT! I’m cool. YOU’RE LOSER GIRLS!” Just then, Mrs. Eltri walked in and said, “What is about all the yelling?! Don’t call each other names. Go to Mr. Omof’s office!” Mr. Omat was the principal. He was on the chubby side, was losing some of his hair, and was stressed out sometimes. We all, Chelsea, Courtney, Chrissa, and I walked to the principal’s office.
